1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
9 tbsp butter
2/3 cup cold water (enough to bind dough)
1 cup ready to eat prunes (I used way more)
1 egg beaten (for glaze)
Preheat oven to 400. Sift flour and baking powder into bowl. Cut butter in small pieces. Rub together until resembles fine crumbs (or use food processor to mix), gradually add cold water till forms dough. Roll out onto surface. Cut into 10 even squares. Make a diagonal cut from each corner towards center. Chop prunes into small pieces (or use food processor). Put spoonful into center and lift each corner of pastry towards center to form a star (sorta). Put on baking sheet and brush on beaten egg. Bake for 15 min or till golden brown. Sprinkle a little powdered sugar over top. Enjoy.
