Pumpkin Puree (Utah Deal Diva)





I bought 2 pie pumpkins for $1.99 each. I scooped out the yuck {reserving the seeds of course!} and baked them for about 1.5 hours at 350 degrees. Be sure to put about 1 inch of water in the dish and cover the entire contents with foil, to keep the pumpkin moist. Use a potato masher
Using a jack O Lantern Pumpkin is cheaper, but be sure to strain it for about 2 hours because it had a much higher water content than the pie pumpkins.
