Grandma's Sugar Cookies & Frosting



Mix together:
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter (2 cubes), softened
2 eggs
1 cup milk

Add:
Dissolve 1 tsp baking soda into 1/8 cup hot water
1 tsp almond extract
5-5, 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder

When rolling out the dough, you will need to use about 1/2 cup more flour
Roll out THICK!!! Then use cookie cutters to slice into desired shapes

Bake 9-10 minutes for medium-large cookies
Bake 8-9 minutes for small cookies
375 degrees.
Makes about 25-30 cookies

FROSTING:
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
1 cube butter (softened)
4-5 cups powdered sugar
pinch of vanilla
food coloring of you choice (add 1 drop at a time)
Put in fridge when not using.
