Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

1, 1/2 cups flour (1 cup wheat, 1/2 cup white)
3, 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp white sugar (or substitute: sucanat, stevia)
1, 1/3 cups milk
1 egg
3 tblsp butter, melted

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

These are really thick and truly the BEST pancakes. We used a medal cut out to make these fun pancakes and the kids LOVE THEM!

Makes about 15 small and 10 medium size pancakes
