Homemade Granola



3-4 cups whole old fashioned oats
1/4-1/2 cup presoaked sunflower seeds
1/8 cup ground flax seed
1/4 cup shredded coconut (not the sugar kind)
1/2 cup nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds)...
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp wheat germ
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tbsp cinnamon

Mix all dry ingredients together in large bowl

In stove top pan, bring to a boil (constantly stirring)
1/4 cup apple juice or water
1/4 cup canola oil or coconut oil
1/4 cup maple syrup (Grade B) or molasses
1/4 cup raw honey

add 1/2 tsp vanilla after it comes to a boil

pour over dry ingredients and stir in very well, evenly coated
Bake on cookie sheet at 275 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Stir every 5-10 minutes.
